silver & periwinkle

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to show you a mani that I was wearing for the past week, along with swatches of the pretty base polish.

Gabrini Elegant Mirror Colors M06 is a periwinkle cr‬è‪me polish that has a more purple side than blue. It's opaque in 2 coats and dries incredibly fast (even though it doesn't come from a special fast dry line). I don't know why but it contains a lot of black specks. I don't suppose this is intentional, maybe the color wasn't mixed properly.

As for the manicure, I stamped the dot in dot design from plate BM-322 using a silver polish. The photo of the swatch is just a couple of days older, that's why my nails below are longer :)

essence walk on the wild side

Hello lovely people! :)
How are you all doing today?
What I have for you today is a swatch from the new shades of the Essence Colour & Go line.

Walk On The Wild Side is a deep forest green filled with green glass specks. The photo shows two coats, but you can get away with one, if you apply it thicker. I don't know why, but I'm having a problem with these shimmery green polishes. Last time I showed you the Gabrini one and I didn't like it. This one is better, but it still doesn't feel like anything special.

Considering the new bottles... I'll admit that they are better than expected. After all, you get much more product in these bottles than the others. What I love about them is that the cap sort of 'clicks' and that's how you make sure it's completely closed. The brush is also the way I like it, though people with narrower nails might have a problem with it. The only thing I didn't like was the 2cm long bottle neck, but I guess they can get away with it considering the other improvements of the line.

simple swirls

Hey everyone!
How are you all doing? I'm pretty busy with my classes, so apologies for the lack of posts.
Quality over quantity, right? :)

I'm going to start by showing you a swatch of the base color that I used for this mani.
Golden Rose Matte Velvet 107 is an electric purple suede polish filled with tons of silver shimmer. It's a really gorgeous polish. It's opaque in only one coat, meaning it's likely to be good with stamping.

I don't know why, but every time I look at it, it reminds me of something magical, so I decided to add an abstract, swirly design on my thumb and ring finger.
I used plate BM-314 and a black polish. I finished it off with a glossy top coat. I must admit that I like it even better when it's glossy.

kleancolor born to the purple

Hey everyone! :)
I took a short break after my birthday, because I felt like I needed a bit of "chill out" time after the 31 day challenge. What I have for you today is another glittery goodness from Kleancolor. Enjoy :)

Born To The Purple is a mixture of smaller and larger purple hexagon glitter suspended in a purple jelly base. I haven't really said much about my thoughts on the Kleancolor polishes because I'm posting them separately, but there are some specific things about the glitter polishes. They do spread nicely, but sometimes you need to tap on the glitter or maneuver it into place. The second thing is that the glitter ones smell harsh. The "regulars" don't smell as bad, but the glitter ones stink! I normally don't react badly to nail polish smell, but they even made my eyes all watery!

Anyway, the polish itself is very pretty. I really like it :)

october polish days: kleancolor afternoon picnic

Hey guys!
Today is a very special day for me :)
It's my 19th birthday & it's also October Polish Days!
The theme is "Sentimental Polish" which can be interpreted in many ways.

I chose to do a jelly sandwich using Kleancolor Afternoon Picnic. I simply fell in love with this polish the moment I saw it (and of course I had to buy it later on). It had to "travel" over 25 000km to get to me and now that I have it I just want to wear it everyday :)
Well, not everyday, but since it's my birthday I'm totally allowed to wear as much bling on my nails as I want to :) I used Rimmel Alaska as a base and on top of Afternoon Picnic in order to make it a sandwich.

Due to the grey-ish base of Afternoon Picnic, Alaska's warm tone changed to a colder one, but it's cute either way.

kleancolor bite me

Hey everyone! :)
I finally started swatching the Kleancolor polishes that I got a week ago. The reason it's taking this long is that I actually wanted to wear them for as much as possible in order to determine an average wear.

Bite Me is the first polish that I decided to swatch. It's a true red filled with tons of red shimmer along with some silver specks here and there. What I love about this polish is that it's a one coater, but I'm not sure it would do well with stamping as it contains an enormous quantity of shimmer. Being a one coater usually means it will stain your nails if you're not wearing a base coat. Unfortunately, this polish is so opaque that it managed to stain my nails even with a base coat underneath.
There are two more things that I'm not satisfied with. First of all, the brush was so floppy, that it was insanely hard to control and I managed to smudge my cuticles even when I painted with my dominant hand. The second thing was the wear. It chipped after a day and I decided to take it out.
So overall, the shade is very pretty and I'd totally recommend it especially during the Christmas season, but mind the negative sides that come with this polish.

essence james's favorite brown (soul sista TE)

Hey everyone!
A while ago I purchased one of the five polishes from the Soul Sista TE and now I got another one on sale :)

James's Favorite Brown is a shimmery peanut brown polish that is opaque in 2 coats. It's my second favorite from the collection (after Essence Chilled Orange), but it's not a must have (at least not for me), even though the polish itself is something you don't see every day. It was a part of a spring/summer collection, but I'd rather wear it in fall.

flormar miracle colors U30

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to show you yet another polish from Flormar's Miracle Colors line.

Flormar Miracle Colors U30 is a shimmery polish consisted of a black base and gold/bronze shimmer particles. It's opaque in only one coat, but two look even more shimmery. The results that you get from stamping with it aren't perfect, but if you want a special effect you could try and see how it turns out.

gabrini elegant 320

Hey everyone!
Finally, a "normal" post after a long time.
What I have for you today is a really gorgeous shimmery green polish that I got over a month ago!
Finding a nice shimmery green is really tough.

Gabrini Elegant 320 is a medium shimmery green. It's opaque in 2 coats, I believe. I don't know why, but I just don't like this polish. Maybe it was the super crooked brush that made the application hard as hell! It's one of those polishes that you buy just to look at and not use. I seriously hate how it looks on the nails.
The search continues...

It probably doesn't even deserve a separate post, but I like to post my swatches separately.
