maybelline colorama 145

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to show you yet another swatch of a polish that took my breath away.

I'm talking about Maybelline Colorama 145. To my knowledge, Maybelline always has names for their polishes, but I only found a number, but if there is one and I haven't found it please do tell where I can find it :) Anyway, the polish is a deep red with warm undertone and tons of gold shimmer. All of the shimmery reds I own have silver shimmer and this was a nice change. It's opaque in one coat, but I'd suggest two in order to smooth everything out.

Thanks for reading!

p.s. My nails broke a week ago and they are tiny now. There's absolutely no space for nail art and that's the reason I'm not posting. I might paint something on top of some false nails just to have something to post :)

essie smooth sailing

Hey everyone!
A couple of days ago I showed you my first OPI nail polish and I loved it. In the same package, I got my first Essie polish as well, so I'm going to show it to you today :)

Essie Smooth Sailing is a color I can't quite describe. It looks like periwinkle, but a few shades darker than the usual, with tons and tons of silver, pink and blue flecks. It was opaque in 2 coats and the drying time was average. The formula was a bit runny for me, but nothing too hard to work with. The only thing that bothered me that much is the brush. I don't have a photo of it, but it's so small. I'm very disappointed about that because Essie's polishes aren't the cheapest and I wasn't expecting a cheap looking brush.

I've read some blog posts where people do a comparison of a US and European version of Essie and the European brush is much, much better, but unfortunately I got the polish from the US.

review: heart shaped glitter from kkcenterhk

Hey everyone!
Around a month ago I did a review on a really great product from the online shop KKCenterHK - the pink round studs. Back then, I also got another awesome product which I'll be reviewing today. I'm kind of late with the review, but better late than never, right?

I never saw myself as a person that would ask for heart shaped glitter, but this one is amazing. The individual hearts are around 2.5mm which means that they aren't too large and lie flat on the nail. The jar that they came in was pretty large, I believe it contains 10 grams of glitter, which is a lot! The glitter pieces come in many different colors and they have a shiny, foil-like appearance.

A close up of the glitter. So pretty *.*

Here are a few examples on how you can use these glittery hearts :)

Index: I used three blue hearts to create a half moon.
Middle: This is a very cute look for Valentine's. Randomly placed red hearts over a pink base.
Ring: A straight line of yellow hearts across the whole nail.
Pinky: Four leaf clover - perfect for St. Patrick's.

You can get the jar full of heart shaped glitter here for $8.00. They might seem a bit pricey, but considering the size of the jar, I can say that the price is fair.

You can find the rest of the glitter selection here.

You can get 10% off your order over at KKCenterHK using the code: "iloveprettycolours".

The product was sent to me for review. However, my opinion is 100% honest and is not affected by this.

opi here today...aragon tomorrow

Hey everyone!
Long time, no see. It's been almost a month since I wrote a blog post. I'm going to keep it short and do a straight up apology. I'm one exam away from finishing my first year of engineering and I feel kind of exhausted. Things have been hectic lately with midterms, finals and whatnot. I also got a part-time job, because I needed some money to buy more polishes ;) All in all, I had absolutely zero free time.

Not so long ago, I bought my first ever OPI nail polish. They brought OPI in some local stores, but I found cheaper ones online, so naturally I had to order one. I chose Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow because of my never-ending dark green polish search. For once, I was not disappointed.
I really liked the brush, it's really nice and wide. The consistency of the polish was perfect and the drying time was average. The polish is opaque in one to two coats, depending on the thickness. The shade is a beautiful forest green with tons of micro shimmer particles, that are barely visible.

I felt like I should bring it to another level, so I added one coat of THREE different kinds of flakies. The result - pure awesomeness! See for yourselves :)

I can wait to purchase more OPI shades, because I think that it's really worth every penny :)

Another thing I wanted to mention is that I'll probably take the photos under an artificial light from now on. The sun is kind of messing with us lately and it's very unpredictable and with a lamp I'll always have the same lighting conditions.
