review: water decals from born pretty store

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to write about yet another products that BornPrettyStore sent me for review. I have reviewed water decals from BPS before and I was really excited for these, too.

These decals come in a set of 9 sheets that contain plenty of colorful designs to choose from. The print quality is very high and bright. I really couldn't decide which ones to try out because all of the stickers are soooo cute, so I created three manicures instead :)
You will notice that I used different background colors and they showed up really nicely on every single one. The application was really easy - 20 seconds dipped in some water, remove the backing and apply. Simple as that! You don't need to wait for the decals to dry out or anything, they are literally ready in a few seconds.
I would recommend top coat, since they don't have an adhesive backing and you wouldn't want your manicure to last just one day.

I'm going to begin with my favorite manicure of the three. For this manicure I used the decal sheet labeled as YS-08. This is by far the weirdest manicure that I've ever done, but I loved it! You can easily overlap the decals, as I did with the eyeballs and crowns, and they are going to look amazing anyway :)

Used products:
• Golden Rose Color Expert 60 (black)
• Golden Rose Rich Color 27 (purple)
• Divine Lux 229 (teal)
Water decals from BPSs

For the second manicure I used the decal sheet YS-02, which is has a unicorn theme.

Used products:
• Golden Rose Color Expert 02 (white)
• OPI You're Such A Budapest (lavender)
• Manhattan 21G (yellow)
• Classics Glamour 211 (mint)
• Flomar 392 (holographic glitter)
Water decals from BPSs

And for the third and final manicure I used the decal sheet YS-06.

Used products:
• P2  Being In Heaven (pink)
• Rimmel London Alaska (nude/light pink)
Water decals from BPSs

Here are the all of the decal sheets that you get for $3.30. I think that they are pretty awesome and affordable, considering the fact that you can do more than 10 manicures with them.

review: born pretty store stamping plate BP-L004

Hello everyone!
BornPrettyStore, once again, were kind enough to send me few of their products for review and naturally I got really excited about them.
So, today I will write about BornPretty’s large stamping plate BP-L004. First off, it comes in a very beautiful and colorful, tribal paper sleeve, which is great for storage considering the fact that it is a fairly larger plate.

The stamping plate is 12x6 cm large, it has 21 different patterns (though, they follow a similar theme in design) which are 15x17 mm large. The images are full sized, but they might be a bit small if you have longer nails. My current nail length was just right, so if you have longer nails you might need to stamp twice in order to get the design right.

This plate has a variety of different designs which I’ve shown in the three manicures below. I created three different designs in order to show you the versatility of this stamping plate.

Used products:
• Golden Rose Color Expert 60 (black)
BornPretty Chameleon 212 (multichrome)
• Golden Rose Matte Top Coat

Used products:
• Amy's Cosmetics 8 (nude)
• Aura Tropical Orange (coral)
• Essence Chilled Orange (yellowish orange)
•  Golden Rose Paris Nail Lacquer 73 (brown)
• China Glaze For Audrey (blue)

Used products:
• Seventeen Supreme 31 (light green)
• H&M Lady Luck (darker green)
The etching is done beautifully and the images pick up really nicely and with great detail.
It’s quite affordable – it costs only $5.99 (with free worldwide shipping).
Overall, I didn’t have a problem using this stamping plate from BornPrettyStore. It has great images with amazing details and they were right up my alley. I would definitely recommend it to just about anyone who wants to try stamping, as well as already experienced nail artists.

white lace

Hey everyone!
Here's what I've been wearing for the past couple of days. I got my new BornPrettyStore stamping plates and I decided to try and use all of them at least once :)
I wanted to wear something light and pretty for a change and I created this white on white manicure.

Used products:
• Rimmel London Alaska (milky white/nude)
• Golden Rose Color Expert 02 (white)
BP-02 stamping plate

It kind of turned out like a ripped lace design because I had some trouble with my stamping plate. It wasn't until I got to the last nail that I realized that I should have scraped in a different direction.

empties #10: throwaways edition

Hey everyone!
This is my 10th empties post and I decided to make it special by writing about 5 products that I didn't want to use anymore because they were pretty much horrible.

Rockey Volum Express Mascara by Maybelline

Maybelline's mascaras seem to be the most horrible for me. I know that people love them, but my eyes are just too sensitive for the formula. Whenever I apply a Maybelline mascara, my eyes get red and watery and it just doesn't look pretty at all :( I did have other issues with this mascara, though. I absolutely hate the wand. It's too bulky and the bristles are too short in my opinion. I kept ending up with so much product on my lashes, that it didn't even dry in the end.

Maximum Definition Volume Mascara by Essence

I stopped using this one because it gives more lenght than volume. I already have pretty long lashes and I don't need them to be any longer. The formula isn't too long lasting, it smudges easily and, like the Maybelline mascara, it irritated my eyes.

Extend Extreme Mascara by Avon

Don't be fooled by the faded lettering. I used this mascara so little, that I'm a bit sad for throwing it away. The bristles were too thick for me and it ended up clumping my lashes into a nasty spiderweb that I did not want.

Black/White Twin Kajal by S-he Stylezone

Don't you just hate it when you buy an eye pencil and you can't sharpen it because the stupid wooden part keeps breaking? Sorry, but I didn't feel like stabbing my eye with a splinter of wood. The black part was average, but the white was so pigmented. It's really sad that it didn't work for me.

All About Matt Loose Powder by Essence

I kind of had a love/hate relationship with this one. My problem was that the consistency was changed. I've used this product from Essence before they changed it, and silly me for thinking that they'd only change the packaging. In my opinion, the powder wasn't as fine and it made me a bit white. I know that it doesn't say translucent on the packaging, but I just assumed that it would be the same as before :(
